Jennifer Lopez Signs With Island Def Jam

Jennifer Lopez is back in business after departing from her record company in February - she's joined the books of Island Def Jam alongside Rihanna and Mariah Carey.

The singer announced she was leaving Sony's Epic Records after 11 years, despite a seventh album slated for release through the label in April.

Lopez was quick to shoot down rumors of an alleged feud between herself and Epic bosses, insisting the split was on "friendly terms."

Now, she has announced that a deal has been struck between her management and Island Def Jam, which is part of the Universal Music group, and is headed by music mogul L.A. Reid.

Lopez's seventh studio album, Love, will be released through the label - which is home to Rihanna and Carey, as well as Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Amy Winehouse.

`Modern Family,' `Glee' among Peabody winners

The winners of the 2009 Peabody Awards, announced Wednesday, include the ABC sitcom "Modern Family," Fox network's "Glee," CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and HBO's "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency."

The awards recognize achievement and public service by TV and radio stations, networks, producing organizations, individuals and the Internet.

Other winners include the BBC's dramatic reconstruction "The Day that Lehman Died" and National Public Radio's Web site.

"To those who say all media content is the same, or presented from a single perspective, we offer this great range of material as a response," said Horace Newcomb, director of the Peabody Awards, in a statement.

"Our selections demonstrate that great work available in 2009 varied widely and appealed to viewers and listeners with very different tastes, interests and concerns," he said.

An award ceremony for the 69th annual Peabody Awards will be held May 17 in New York. It will be hosted by ABC "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer, who will receive an award for "A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains," a documentary shot in Appalachia.

Announcing the awards, Cully Clark, dean of UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, said "Modern Family," which follows the ups and downs of an extended family, "reinvents the situation comedy."

Other entertainment programming recognized with a Peabody included "Glee," a musical dramedy about the members of a high school singing club; "In Treatment," HBO's therapy drama; and "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency," a series about a female detective in Botswana based on the novels by Alexander McCall Smith.

Blurring the line between entertainment and news, CBS' Scottish-born late-night talk-show host Craig Ferguson garnered an award for an interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who helped lead opposition to apartheid in South Africa in the 1980s.

The global financial crisis was a common theme among some winners, including "The Day that Lehman Died," PBS' "Frontline: The Madoff Affair" and Oregon Public Broadcasting's "Hard Times."

NPR's Web site was heralded as a model for what a news site should be. The news organization's Kabul bureau chief, Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson, also got a nod for her extensive coverage of life inside Afghanistan.

Several local news organizations got laurels for their local reporting efforts. They included Houston's KHOU-TV, for its investigative series, "Under Fire: Discrimination and Corruption in the Texas National Guard," which led to the firing of three Texas Guard generals; reporting by Chicago's WFLD-TV on the sidewalk murder of honor student Derrion Albert; and "BART Shooting," a series of reports by KTVU-TV in Oakland, Calif., on a deadly train station confrontation.

Hong Kong-based Now-Broadband TV News Channel, which won a Peabody in 2008 for its coverage of the Sichuan earthquake in China, won again for "Sichuan Earthquake: One Year On," anniversary coverage that asked hard questions about construction standards that may have increased the quake's death toll.

Arts and culture were represented by two "Independent Lens" documentaries: "The Order of Myths," which examines race relations through the prism of Mardi Gras in Mobile, Ala., and "Between the Folds," a study of the art of origami and paper folding. Making mouths water was "Noodle Road," a survey of the Asian culinary staple by South Korea's KBS 1TV.

The University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication has administered the Peabodys in Athens since the program's inception in 1940.

LL Cool J Slams Sarah Palin

Rapper LL Cool J has slammed Sarah Palin after an advertising campaign for her new show Real American Stories used an old interview with the hip-hop star to publicize the series.

Alaska's former Governor and U.S. vice-presidential candidate has signed up as a correspondent for Fox network, as well as fronting her own show telling the life story of Americans including LL Cool J and country singer Toby Keith.

Promos for the show previewed clips of an interview the rapper purportedly gave to Palin, in which he describes how his family "is very pro-American."

However, the star insists the interview is two years old and did not involve Palin - and he's accused the former politician and Fox bosses of "misrepresenting to the public."

On his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palin's Show. WOW."

Tony Dovolani: I Regret Telling Kate Gosselin "I Quit"

Tony Dovolani regrets telling partner Kate Gosselin he "quit" after a rehearsal spat featured on Monday's show.

"I don't like speaking when I am upset, and I don't ever want to bring back words that I don't mean, and 'I quit' I guess was one of them," he told Entertainment Tonight. "And I only said one word, and I guess that's the one I take back."

On the show, footage aired of Gosselin, 35, criticizing Dolovani's teaching style during rehearsals. "He feels like I undermine him as a teacher," she said, later telling Dolovani, 36: "I love how you teach, but you're not taking into consideration how I learn." Outraged, Dolovani stormed off and Gosselin's eyes filled with tears. He eventually cooled down and returned to rehearsals, and Gosselin thanked him. "I've had a lot of people quit on me in life," she said, presumably referring to ex Jon.

When producers first showed the teaser clip of Dolovani quitting, Gosselin rolled her eyes and made a face at the screen. Cheryl Burke tried to give her a little reassuring pat on the arm.

"It was a a tough 30 seconds, and they showed every second of it," Gosselin later told ET.

But she said she was "fine" seeing it in the end.

"I don't mind the reality part of it," she explained. "The reality is, it is very, very tough. I am not a dancer. I've said it a million times, and it is so true in that sense of that word - I am not a dancer. So, for me to even be out there ... Ok, so I forgot half my steps? The fact that I didn't fall is truly amazing."

Despite her positive outlook, Gosselin tanked on the dance floor, earning a score of 15, with judge Bruno Tonioli calling her a "nightmare."

Gosselin and Dolovani didn't sit together throughout the show (unless they were on camera). Gosselin looked tired and upset the whole night.

But when the show was over, Gosselin hugged Dolovani and said "I'm so sorry." Dovolani appeared to be reasoning with her about what went wrong. She smiled as she did some press, but "you could tell she was unhappy," a witness tells UsMagazine.com.

Jesse James Enters Rehab

Two weeks after he was accused of cheating on wife Sandra Bullock, Jesse James has checked into rehab.

No official word on what type of rehab he has entered, but TMZ.com reports he is being treated at the Sierra Tucson, in Tucson, Ariz., which specializes in drug, alcohol and sex addiction, as well as other disorders. TMZ reports that it has confirmed with a Sierra Tucson therapist that James, 40, attended a 6 p.m. treatment session Tuesday night.

The news comes as a fifth woman claims to have had an affair with the owner of West Coast Choppers in Long Beach, Calif.

Still no official word from Bullock, 45, but a source close to the Oscar winning actress recently told Us Weekly: "Knowing the kind of person she is, I'd be shocked if she contemplated going back to him."

Added Bullock's close friend and longtime costumer Joel Voorhies: James' alleged infidelity "is probably one of the most devastating pieces of information she’s ever gotten."

'Dancing With the Stars' Dismisses Its First Celeb

After two weeks on "Dancing With the Stars," Shannen Doherty is leaving the ballroom.

The actress was the first celebrity eliminated from the new season of the hit ABC show. She and professional partner Mark Ballas were axed during Tuesday's episode.

"Dancing isn't really my thing," she said after learning her fate. "I did it for my dad."

The 38-year-old "Charmed" and "90210" star said on last week's season premiere that she joined the "Dancing" cast to honor her father, a big fan of the show who recently suffered a stroke. He sat in the audience, watching his daughter perform.

"To see my dad's face light up the way that it did and how proud he was of me just filled me with this kind of amazing emotion of thankfulness," Doherty said Tuesday. "I call that a success."

She said her elimination may have been fate, as Ballas hurt his knee during rehearsals and was using a crutch during Tuesday's episode.

"I pulled the muscle off the bone so I'll be out for six weeks," he said.

The judges seemed to appreciate the couple's two dances, calling their jive "energetic" and their Viennese waltz "ambitious." But fans failed to keep them afloat. Judges' scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which celebrity is eliminated each week.

Viewer votes saved the lowest-scoring contestant, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who earned 14 points out of 30 for his cha-cha last week and 12 points for his foxtrot on Monday's episode.

Besides Aldrin, remaining competitors include Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, actors Niecy Nash, Pamela Anderson and Aiden Turner, reality stars Jake Pavelka and Kate Gosselin, singer Nicole Scherzinger, sportscaster Erin Andrews and football star Chad Ochocinco.

Angelina Jolie To Play Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent?

Angelina Jolie is turning to the dark side - she's in talks play the wicked fairy godmother in a live action remake of Sleeping Beauty.

Fantasy filmmaker Tim Burton will direct the modernized version of the Disney classic following the success of Alice In Wonderland, and Jolie will add her star power to the project as famous villain Maleficent, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Alice In Wonderland has become America's highest-grossing movie of the year so far after taking $116.3 million earlier this month in its first three days on U.S. release.

Jolie is currently shooting The Tourist with Burton's frequent collaborator and Alice In Wonderland star Johnny Depp.

Uma Thurman Film Is An Epic Flop

Uma Thurman's new film "Motherhood" has epically flopped at the U.K. box office - the film only made $132 in its opening weekend.

Thurman plays a stressed mum who struggles to balance parenting and her career in the new movie - which only took $60,000 in the U.S. when it opened last year.

But the response to the film was even worse in Britain - where only one person went to watch the movie on Sunday March 7, and the film only garnered an embarrassing $132 during the whole weekend.

And producer Jane Edelbaum can't understand why the movie has bombed so badly, telling Britain's The Guardian, "You're kidding? We must have broken a new record for grosses! Think about how much c**p succeeds at the cinema. 'Motherhood' is not bad. It's a very decent movie. I've seen movies that are not half as good."

Jessica Alba To Be A Guest Judge On 'Project Runway'

Jessica Alba is bringing her celebrity fashion sense to Project Runway. Lifetime spokeswoman Kannie Yu LaPack says Alba will serve as a guest judge on Thursday's episode of the popular clothing-design competition show.

Demi Moore's 'Pimpin' War With Kim Kardashian

Demi Moore sparked a Twitter.com war with Kim Kardashian on Sunday after taking aim at the socialite for her use of the word "pimping".

The actress has taken a strong stance against child slavery and last week launched a new campaign with her husband Ashton Kutcher to clamp down on the unethical practice which is rampant in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

She took particular offence to a 'tweet' written by Kardashian on Sunday, when she posted a photo of herself at a charity event in Miami with tennis champ Serena Williams, DJ La La Vazquez and singer Kelly Rowland. The picture was accompanied by the caption: "Big pimpin w (with) @SerenajWilliams @LaLaVazquez @Kelly_Rowland. Love u girls!"

Responding to the post, Moore wrote, "Are you using the word 'pimpin' as in pimping?", to which Kardashian answered, "Doesn't everyone? LOL (laugh out loud)."

However, Moore was not laughing and snapped back: "No disrespect I love a girls' night out but a pimp and pimping is nothing more than a slave owner! If we want to end slavery we need to stop glorifying the 'pimp' culture."

Kardashian defended herself against the criticism, insisting she meant no harm with her 'tweet': "Nothing wrong with dancing to Big Pimpin' by Jay-Z in the club! Having a girls' night out, gotta love that song!"

Moore assured fans she had nothing against Kardashian - just wanted to make "a point about how we have used a word and desensitized the real meaning." She added, "Clearly I stirred up a s**t storm, but 2 (to) create change U have 2 be willing 2 take a risk and be willing 2 (sic) provoke thought & conversation."

Nevertheless, the pair appeared to settle their differences by the end of the conversation, with Kardashian conceding Moore had made a "good point" with her 'tweets'.

Fox says Kiefer Sutherland's '24' will end May 24

The drama "24" won't be ticking much longer on TV. Fox announced Friday that its action-packed real-time show starring Kiefer Sutherland as anti-terrorism agent Jack Bauer will wind down at the end of its current eighth season on May 24.

Sutherland said in a statement that the show's cast and crew "always wanted '24' to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon." He also said he was looking forward to creating a film version of "24."

The show has received 68 Emmy nominations, winning for outstanding drama series and for Sutherland as lead drama actor in 2006.

"This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible," Sutherland said. "But when all is said and done, it is the loyal worldwide fan base that made it possible for me to have the experience of playing the role of Jack Bauer, and for that I am eternally grateful."

Premiering Nov. 6, 2001, "24" used an innovative real-time, split-screen format to present fast-paced interwoven storylines. Each episode covered one hour of the season's 24-hour story arc.

The first six seasons were set in Los Angeles. Following a one-year break forced by the writers strike, season seven went to Africa and Washington, D.C.

The current season has Agent Bauer thwarting a terrorist attack in New York.

By the end of this season, "24" will have presented 194 episodes, making it one of television's longest-running action shows.

Jennifer Love Hewitt heads to NBC's Love Bites

Hewitt, 31, will play an ex-beauty queen, now a married mother of three, who faces foreclosure on her home after a work injury sidelines her husband. Jesse James Facing A Third Affair Allegation

Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James is facing allegations of another affair after a third woman stepped forward with claims of a sexual relationship with the TV star.

The Hollywood couple's marriage was first rocked when tattoo model Michelle McGee went public with claims she had an affair with James while Bullock was away shooting The Blind Side on location.

James apologized to his wife and his family for the "pain and embarrassment" the story caused, but was subsequently hit with claims from another woman, Melissa Smith, who alleges she enjoyed a series of intimate encounters with James at his West Coast Choppers headquarters in California between 2006 and 2009.

Now, Los Angeles-based photographer Brigitte Daguerre has claimed she also had a sexual relationship with James after he hired her in 2008 to style a photo-shoot.

Daguerre claims the pair emailed and texted each other for a year and a half, and had sexual relations four times, according to TMZ.com. Daguerre claims to have kept 195 saucy text messages allegedly sent by James.

Jesse James Hoping for Reconciliation with Sandra Bullock

As Jesse James struggles to cope with a family crisis he admits to creating, his top priority, a friend tells PEOPLE, is maintaining some normalcy in the lives of his three children.

He's "spending every free moment with his children," says his friend, "taking them to school and doing the things they love to do, so this doesn't disrupt their lives too much."

Their stepmom, Sandra Bullock, moved out of the family home on March 15 after allegations of infidelity were made against James.

"He would certainly love for this somehow to go away and that somehow things can be rectified and put back together," the friend says. "The one thing that's most important to him in the whole wide world is that his family comes back together. He will do whatever that takes.

James, 40, the West Coast Choppers motorcycle king, has daughters Chandler, 15, and Sunny, 6, and son Jesse Jr., 12, from two previous marriages. Bullock, 45, has long spoken of her deep love for his kids, whom she treats as her own.

Sarah Palin to Host Alaska Reality-TV Series

Those Who Can't Get Enough of Saran Palin: The former Alaska governor – who's now a Fox News commentator, best-selling memoirist and Republican campaign machine – has a deal in the bag with the Discovery Channel, a source at the network confirms to PEOPLE.

According to everyone from Variety to The Washington Post, the series Sarah Palin's Alaska has been picked up for a reported $1-million-plus per episode.

Variety says Palin's project with reality-TV rainmaker Mark Burnett "will center on interesting characters, traditions and attractions in the 49th state – with the ex-VP candidate as a guide."

A spokesman for Palin referred questions to Burnett's office, which did not return requests for comment. Neither did a Discovery spokesperson.

It’s official: Katherine Heigl has left Grey’s Anatomy

“I am done,” the actress tells Entertainment Weekly in its new issue. “We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

In the end, Heigl decided to leave the hit ABC show because of her family — and not necessarily to advance her film career. “I started a family and it changed everything for me,” she says. “It changed my desire to work full-time.”

In Sept. 2009, Heigl and husband Josh Kelley adopted their daughter Naleigh from South Korea. She also took a three-month leave from Grey’s Anatomy to spend time with her family, an experience that made her want to focus on motherhood, she recently told PEOPLE.

“I think I’m just gonna try and keep it a little more mellow,” she told PEOPLE, “and be a little bit more of a mom, since that’s a big part of my life now. I took those three months off and I realized how very, very important is my family is to me and I want to be more available to them.”

Speculation had grown recently that the actress was planning her exit from Grey’s after she did not return to set following her maternity leave. “The details, the timeline of that — it’s all shades of gray,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “The terms of her exit are still being sorted out.”

And if fans are expecting a big farewell arc, they may be disappointed. Heigl tells Entertainment Weekly that her Jan. 21 episode was her last — and that she is no longer appearing in the season’s final five episodes. “I know I’m disappointing the fans,” she tells EW. “I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one.”

Betty White 'Deeply Saddened' for Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock was there for one of Betty White's golden moments, presenting her costar from The Proposal with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in January.

Now, White's heart goes out to Bullock following claims that Bullock's husband Jesse James had an affair.

"We're all deeply, deeply saddened," White, 88, tells Entertainment Tonight in an interview airing Tuesday. "At such a high point in her life, it's tough, but I think the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out ... the better."

Still, White isn't shy about her affection for Bullock, 45, the newly crowned Oscar winner. "I love her with all my heart," White says. "[She's] one of the greatest human beings on the planet."

White, one of the four stars of the classic sitcom Golden Girls, is herself enjoying a high point in life. Having earned rave reviews for a recent Snickers commercial during the Super Bowl, she is looking forward to a busy month of May, when she will host Saturday Night Live and appear on the season finale of ABC's The Middle.

Kim Kardashian & Reggie Bush are stepping back

Kim Kardashian and her NFL beau Reggie Bush are stepping back.

The couple, who started dating in 2007 and broke up briefly in 2009, haven’t ended things – but they are taking a step back in their relationship.

"They are trying to decide what to do right now," a source tells PEOPLE. "Reggie has issues with her busy life and schedule and she can’t give it all up."

But this couple isn't calling it quits yet.

On Monday, Bush flew to Miami and spent the day with Kardashian. Says the source: "It was super cool between them."

After reconciling in Sept. 2009, Kardashian told PEOPLE that her time apart from Bush would ultimately help them grow stronger as a couple. "I think sometimes people need to take a break just to take time off to see how much they need each other and how much they really are compatible," she said at the time. "We just made the decision that we want to make it work, and the time off was really beneficial for the both of us."

Kardashian subsequently bought a house for herself in Beverly Hills, and the couple considered moving in together.

"She's totally happy and fine with everything," the source says. "Kim and Reggie are best friends; they really are. It's just more that he can't deal with her life and all the fame she's gotten. She and Reggie started dating before she even had her show. They are working on seeing what they both want."

Reps for both Bush and Kardashian did not return calls for comment.

The funnyman had been in talks to create a follow-up to 2004's "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," and last year Ferrell revealed the "odds are good" for a second run.

However, after trying to book in the movie's stars, including Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, for a second film, the actor admits it's impossible to arrange.

He says, "I thought we were doing it. Now I've heard it's going to be too hard to get everyone together."

Singer Mariah Carey's upcoming album has now been cancelled after previously being postponed.

The 39-year-old star's album, Angels Advocate, has had its released date pushed back several times but now it has been cancelled altogether. The album was going to be remixes of tracks off Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

According to Hollyscoop, her management said: '[We are] able to confirm that the Angels Advocate album, a remixed edition of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, will not be released.'

Wes Craven Confirmed As 'Scream 4' Director

Somebody get Captain Obvious on the phone, because today's "Scream 4" news has his name all over it. It all started last year, with the news that series creator Kevin Williamson would be returning to his script-flipping horror series with an all-new trilogy set after the events of the original three movies (i.e. not a reboot). Things moved quickly from there, as the Arquettes committed to reprise their roles, as did Neve Campbell (following some uncertainty), and Williamson revealed some of his plans for the follow-up.

Through all of that, it was believed that original series director Wes Craven would return, possibly at the helm. Courteney and David Arquette confirmed as much to MTV back in January. So the news today that Craven is nothing new for people who have been following the wacky turns "Scream 4" has taken in the past bunch of months.

Variety confirms today that Craven will return, and that Dimension Films has greenlit "Scream 4" to shoot thing spring. The release date they have penciled in right now is April 12, 2011, though with more than a year between now and then this is surely subject to change. Still, a spring 2011 release is looking likely for the latest in the "Scream" series.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Prefers Boyfriends over Dates

She just wrote a book on dating, but Jennifer Love Hewitt says she prefers to be in a relationship than out there testing the waters.

"I don't think anyone truly enjoys dating," the actress and author of The Day I Shot Cupid said Tuesday on NBC's Today show. "I'm better in relationships than I am going out with one guy on a Monday and then another one on a Wednesday and another one on a Saturday. It feels weird to me. So, I tend to spend time with people and have boyfriends versus dates."

Asked why she hasn't found Mr. Right yet, the actress, 31 – who recently split from her Ghost Whisperer costar Jamie Kennedy – replied, "I think that's how love works. I think it's timing, and figuring out who you are."

Not necessarily referring to Kennedy, 39, she added: "I think it takes a lot of frogs to find your prince."

The two actors are still working together on the CBS show, and Hewitt says it hasn't been too terrible. "I think maybe earlier in my life that would've been a harder thing to do," she said. "But with age comes growing up, and it's been OK. It's been fine."

Hewitt also spoke about her weight controversy in 2007, saying she moved on from it pretty quickly, thanks to a little help from her friends. "People came out in support, and that part was really lovely," she said.

As for her future in love, Hewitt – who was once engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall – says she still has some self-discovery left to do first.

"I think every relationship you're in teaches you something different about yourself," she said. "And I feel like, at 31, there's still so much more I need to know about myself before I can completely give the perfect version of me to someone."

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher wed

SACHA BARON COHEN and ISLA FISHER have wed in a small private ceremony in Paris, France.

Reports suggest the Borat star and the Aussie actress partner exchanged vows a week ago at a traditional Jewish ceremony in front of close friends and family.

The couple started dating in 2002 and became engaged six years ago.

They were rumoured to have wed in February (10), but their representative rubbished the reports, insisting they had simply been celebrating a Jewish holiday.

But now Fisher, who shares a two-year-old daughter, called Olive, with the funnyman, has confirmed the wedding took place.

In an email to pals, Fisher wrote, "We did it - we're married! It was the absolute best day of my life and in so many beautiful moments I missed you all so much. I thought of you as everything was happening, but Sacha and I wanted no fuss."

Rosie O'Donnell Developing New Daytime TV Show

Daytime TV is about to get Rosier: Rosie O'Donnell is planning to develop a new talk show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

O'Donnell is targeting fall 2011 for the debut of her new vehicle – around the same time that Oprah Winfrey will take her final bow on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The comedian, 48, is no stranger to the daytime airwaves. The talk show vet hosted the Emmy-winning Rosie O'Donnell Show for six years before her gig on The View.

Since last fall, O'Donnell has been reaching fans via her daily, two-hour show on Sirius XM Radio called "Rosie Radio." But she never abandoned TV altogether: In January, she debuted her HBO documentary A Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, which highlights different family dynamics.

Producer files $30M suit against Lady Gaga in NYC

Lady Gaga's spokesman is declining to comment on a music producer's lawsuit.

Rob Fusari filed the $30.5 million lawsuit in Manhattan against the Grammy Award-winning performer on Wednesday. He said his protege and former girlfriend ditched him as her career soared.

The suit says they co-wrote songs such as ``Paparazzi'' and ``Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.'' Fusari also says he came up with her stage name and helped get her record deal.

Lady Gaga won two Grammys in January: best dance recording, for ``Poker Face,'' and best electronic/dance album, for ``The Fame.''

Her real name is Stefani Germanotta. Her spokesman, Dave Tomberlin, declined to comment Friday on the suit.

Tiger Woods is making a comeback!

Disgraced sportsman Tiger Woods is returning to golf at the Masters tournament in Georgia in April. The star took a hiatus from the game at the end of last year, after his extra-marital affairs were exposed in the tabloids.

Woods has since apologized for his behavior and undergone sex therapy treatment at a clinic in Mississippi.

He has also been working on repairing his marriage to Elin Nordegren, and now he insists he's ready to return to golf.

A statement from Woods reads, "The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from golf, I feel I am ready to start my season at Augusta."

DMX getting jail time

DMX has been sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of probation violation - but the embattled rapper has been offered a way out of jail thanks to reality TV's Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, appeared in court on Tuesday when he confessed to five separate claims of probation violation by using illegal drugs following his arrest in Phoenix, Arizona last week.

The judge ordered DMX to spend time behind bars - but the rapper could escape the jail term and serve his sentence in rehab instead, after an appeal from a representative from the Pasadena Recovery Center in California.

The spokesperson approached the judge presiding over the case during the hearing and presented a letter from Pinsky asking for permission to help DMX kick his drug habit at the treatment center.

As WENN went to press, a decision on the offer had yet to be delivered but TMZ.com reports the judge was "open" to sending the troubled star to rehab.

Pinsky has become known to TV audiences thanks to his reality show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and its spin-off "Sober House", in which he attempts to help stars kick their drug and alcohol addictions.

DMX spent time in jail last year on charges of drug possession, animal cruelty and theft, stemming from various arrests in 2008. He was sentenced to 18 months probation after his release in May for verbally threatening a guard during his stint in prison.

Warrant issued for Lil Wayne in Arizona case

An Arizona judge issued a bench warrant Tuesday for Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne after he failed to appear for a hearing on drug and weapons charges because he is serving jail time in New York.

A Yuma County Superior Court judge issued the warrant after the entertainer, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, failed to appear in court for a final trial management conference.

But Lil Wayne's attorney, James Tilson, said his client couldn't appear because he is already serving a one-year jail sentence for having a loaded gun on his tour bus. The rapper began serving that sentence March 8 at the Rikers Island jail complex.

Lil Wayne was arrested in January 2008 at a border checkpoint 78 miles east of Yuma after authorities say they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.

The 27-year-old rap star has been charged with one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He has plead not guilty to all the charges.

Tilson said he has filed motions to have Lil Wayne's March 30 trial date vacated, and asked the court that his client be allowed to appear in Yuma when he finishes his New York jail sentence. He also has asked that his bond remain the same.

"It does not appear that a trial will be occurring anytime within the next eight to 12 months," Tilson said.

But Yuma County prosecutor Deann Sandry said it was the state's position that Lil Wayne is now a convicted felon and that a bench warrant should be issued and his bond be increased to $150,000.

Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" was the best-selling album of 2008 and won a Grammy for best rap album. His latest album, "Rebirth," was released last month.

Sources Confirm: Katherine Heigl Is Leaving Grey's Anatomy

According to insiders at ABC and Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl has been asking to leave Grey's Anatomy for close to three years now, and she finally got what she wanted last week when Grey's boss Shonda Rhimes and the higher-ups at ABC agreed to let her out of her contract.

"She's leaving the show," one ABC insider tells me. "She wants to do movies."

According to one of Heigl's coworkers on the Grey's set, things got "pretty miserable" for all parties involved and "they [the producers] decided to let her leave."

The show's ABC rep has no comment, and Heigl just parted ways with her personal publicist.

It is unlikely that Katherine will return to the Grey's set at all this season, and Shonda's writing staff is still determining how to handle her departure in the storyline. (They faced a similar dilemma a few years ago when Isaiah Washington left the series.) It hasn't been decided yet if it will be left open for her character to return.

Insiders confirm EW's report that Katherine was scheduled to return to the Grey's set two weeks ago, after taking maternity leave with her newly adopted daughter and also shooting a movie. However, she has not been back.

Last season, word spread that Heigl had asked to be let out of her contract, along with her good friend T.R. Knight, which led to last May's brilliantly executed season-finale cliffhanger in which both characters appeared to be dead. (It was revealed in the fall premiere that Katherine's Izzie survived.)

Sheen pleads not guilty in domestic violence case

Actor Charlie Sheen pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges on Monday, nearly three months after his wife told police in a 911 call he put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her in Colorado.

Sheen showed little emotion and said nothing during his brief arraignment in Pitkin County District Court. The plea was entered by Richard Cummins, one of Sheen's attorneys.

No new details emerged about the Dec. 25 incident.

The star of "Two and a Half Men" on CBS is charged with menacing, criminal mischief and assault. Menacing, the most serious charge, carries a sentence of one to three years in prison.

A judge scheduled a jury trial for July 21.

Sheen is accused of assaulting Brooke Mueller Sheen at an Aspen home while they were on vacation. Charlie Sheen told police they were arguing but denied threatening to kill her.

In court, Sheen wore a black suit, white shirt and black tie. He chatted with a deputy and sipped water from a cup before the hearing started.

Afterward, he walked a few steps to the prosecution table and shook hands with Deputy District Attorney Arnold Mordkin.

Neither Sheen nor his attorneys commented as they left the courtroom.

"Charlie is looking forward to the opportunity to clear his name," said Stan Rosenfield, Sheen's agent.

Brooke Sheen told police her husband threatened her after she told him she wanted a divorce.

Sheen denied threatening his wife with a knife or choking her. He told officers they had slapped each other on the arms and that he had snapped two pairs of her eyeglasses in front of her, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Within a week of Sheen's arrest, attorneys for both husband and wife said the couple wanted to reconcile. Sheen's attorney asked the judge to modify a restraining order — standard in Colorado domestic abuse cases — that kept them from contacting each other.

On Feb. 8, the judge agreed, and the couple reunited and hugged in an Aspen courtroom.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy split

Jessica Simpson calls Howard Stern "Disrespectful"

Jessica Simpson has become the latest star to wade into the debate over Gabourey Sidibe's weight after Howard Stern urged the portly "Precious" star to seek help - the singer has called the DJ's comments "disrespectful".

Stern sparked an outcry after he labeled the Oscar-nominee "the most enormous, fat black chick I've ever seen" and claimed she will struggle to secure any more roles in Hollywood because of her size. The shock jock also urged Sidibe to seek help because "obesity" is a life-threatening condition.

Sidibe's mom, Alice Tan Ridley, subsequently slammed the DJ for his unkind comments, and Whoopi Goldberg urged Stern to focus on Sidibe's acting not her dress size.

And now Simpson, who was criticized in the press for her own weight struggles last year, has spoken out - insisting Stern shouldn't have taken aim at Sidibe over such a personal issue.

She tells E! Online, "I'm actually surprised somebody had the cojones to say that. I just think that's really disrespectful. It's unfortunate because she walked the red carpet at the Oscars and she owned it. She was beautiful. There was no denying that she did not think she was the most beautiful person on that red carpet. She was just owning that moment for herself. She had such confidence and I absolutely 100 percent think she could get anything in the world that she wants."

Kate Winslet splits from husband

British movie star Kate Winslet has separated from her film director husband Sam Mendes after nearly seven years of marriage, their law firm said Monday.

The surprise split puts an end to a golden couple of Britain's show business world, buttressed by matching Oscars and a host of commercial successes and artistic accolades. The pair's law firm, Schillings, said the split was "entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement."

Winslet, 34, shot to international stardom on the back of her appearance opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in James Cameron's "Titanic," and sealed her reputation with an Academy Award for best actress for her role in "The Reader" in 2009.

Mendes, 44, was already an acclaimed stage director by the time he won an Oscar for directing "American Beauty" in 1999.

The pair married in a low small, low-key ceremony in the Caribbean in May 2003. It was Winslet's second marriage. Her first, to British director Jim Threapleton, ended in divorce in 2001.

Winslet has an 9-year-old daughter, Mia, from her marriage to Threapleton and a 6-year-old son Joe with Mendes. Schillings' statement said Winslet and Mendes were "fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children."

It wasn't clear whether divorce proceedings have begun. The statement said no further comment would be made, and calls and e-mails seeking comment from the law firm weren't immediately returned.

Born into a family with a strong thespian tradition, Winslet threw herself into acting early, securing bit roles in TV dramas in her early teens. Her breakthrough came in Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures," which traced the obsessive relationship between two schoolgirls in 1950s New Zealand.

She went on to run through a number of other stage and film roles — including a memorable turn as Ophelia in Kenneth Branagh's film adaptation of "Hamlet" — but stardom would not come until "Titantic," one of the most commercially successful films in cinematic history.

Winslet met Oxford-educated Mendes the same year she split from her first husband, at a time when the former was still serving as artistic director of London's Donmar Warehouse theater.

His debut film, "American Beauty" was a critical success, and he directed his wife in "Revolutionary Road," a recent film about a crumbling marriage that reunited Winslet with "Titanic" co-star DiCaprio.

Reviews were largely favorable, but the film failed to set off the same box office fever that made "Titanic" a huge hit.

In "Revolutionary Road," Winslet portrayed a suburban housewife who became increasingly bored and desperate with her stay-at-home life. The film won Winslet a Golden Globe for best dramatic actress, and in her acceptance speech she thanked her husband for pushing her so hard.

"Thank you for directing this film, babe, and thank you for killing us every single day and really enjoying us actually being in such horrific pain," she said last year.

Mendes said at the time that directing his wife had been one of the best experiences of his life, although he said she liked to discuss the movie 24 hours a day while he preferred to do something else, like watch a baseball game, at night when work was done.

The couple have divided their time between Greenwich Village in New York and a home they have in Gloucestershire in southwestern England.

Katherine Heigl hasn't returned to 'Grey's

On "Grey's Anatomy," Dr. Izzie Stevens has been missing from Seattle Grace Hospital, and now the actress who plays her Katherine Heigl -- hasn't been seen at work.

Although Heigl, 31, was scheduled to return to the set March 1 after three months of maternity leave, "she was not there," a source close to the situation told PEOPLE.

Speculation has been mounting that Heigl is off the show for good after six years to focus on her film career.

ABC isn't commenting.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes has agreed to release Heigl from her contract, and it's now left to ABC Studios and the actress's rep to work out the final deal.

Heidi Montag Ditches Spencer Pratt For A Psychic?

TV star Heidi Montag has sparked rumors of marital troubles with Spencer Pratt after she fired her husband from managing her business affairs and replaced him with a psychic.

"The Hills" stars married in 2008 and Montag placed her partner in charge of her career when she planned to reinvent herself as a singer. She recently underwent a massive cosmetic surgery overhaul, and her husband supported her despite admitting he had reservations about her transformation.

Now, rumors of a rift have surfaced after Montag announced she has dumped Pratt as her business manager.

She tells People.com, "After the incredible experiences I have had healing my life and truly connecting to my dreams with healer intuitive Aiden Chase, I have officially asked him to become my manager. Having an intuitive psychic leading my team gives me an edge no one else has."

Conan O'Brien will take his show to theaters

Without a TV show to do every night, Conan O'Brien is taking his act on the road.

The former host of ``The Tonight Show'' announced a 30-city theater tour on Thursday. Sidekick Andy Richter and the former ``Tonight Show'' band will join O'Brien for what he promises to be ``a night of music, comedy, hugging and the occasional awkward silence.''

The ``Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour'' begins April 12 in Eugene, Ore., and concludes June 14 in Atlanta. It will visit theaters in at least 20 states and two Canadian provinces. Additional dates may be added.

O'Brien quipped: ``It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house.''

On the itinerary is New York's Radio City Music Hall, just steps from where O'Brien first gained fame hosting ``Late Night,'' and the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif., near the studio where he presided over ``The Tonight Show'' for eight months.

The tour also will make a stop at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, the annual festival that takes place June 10-13 in Tennessee. Aside from performing in the comedy tent, O'Brien will emcee the festival's largest music stage on June 11 and 12, the festival said.

O'Brien quit ``The Tonight Show'' in January instead of taking NBC's offer to move his start time back by a half-hour to make room for ``Tonight Show'' veteran Jay Leno's return to late night from a failed prime-time show. He hasn't announced any future television plans.

Leno now is back in his old ``Tonight'' slot, which he had bequeathed to O'Brien last June.
