T.I. and New Bride Celebrate Second Miami Wedding

When one wedding just won't do, follow rapper T.I.'s lead. He wed his longtime partner Tameka "Tiny" Cottle in Miami Friday, only to have another ceremony Saturday.

With the legalities out of the way, T.I. (real name Clifford Harris), who wore a custom-made Prada tuxedo, and his bride exchanged vows in front of celebrity friends Chilli and Kandi from Real Housewives of Atlanta at Miami's Star Island on Saturday.

The newlyweds plan to fly Vegas and wrap up their wedding weekend with a third bash in Las Vegas on Sunday.

In nontraditional fashion, they traveled to Europe for their honeymoon last month before tying the knot.

The hip hop item dated off and on for eight years and have two children together. T.I., who is starring in Takers, has three kids from a previous relationship.

Chelsea Clinton Marries Marc Mezvinsky

Break out the champagne! Chelsea Clinton is a married woman.

Surrounded by 400 friends, and her parents Bill and Hillary (who wore Oscar de la Renta), the former first daughter, 30, wed her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, 32, in Rhinebeck, N.Y., Saturday. She wore a dress designed by Vera Wang, a family friend, who was also in attendance.

Shortly after the ceremony, President Clinton and Secretary Clinton released a statement. "Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day."

The guest list was relatively free of star wattage (without Oprah or Obama) but included Mary Steenburgen, former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, actor Ted Danson, film producer Steven Bing, and a handful of congressmen and other prominent Democrats. According to The New York Times, the interfaith ceremony was conducted by Rabbi James Ponet and Reverend William Shillady. (Chelsea is Methodist; Marc is Jewish).

On Friday, a swarm of paparazzi descended upon Rhinebeck, a small town in upstate New York, trying to catch a glimpse of the festivities. Hillary Clinton wowed crowds outside the rehearsal dinner Friday night, but everybody wanted to see how the teenager who grew up in the White House had blossomed into a blushing bride.

Danson, who attended with wife Steenburgen, told PEOPLE, "We want to wish them the best," adding of the couple, "they are great kids, very family-oriented."

Clinton and Mezvinky, an investment banker who has kept a private life, have been pals since they met at a conference in 1993, and they remained close at Stanford University. But only in 2005 did their friendship turn romantic, when they debuted as a couple at the opening of Tao nightclub in Las Vegas.

They have lived together in recent years in a downtown New York apartment, along with their Yorkshire terrier Soren. As for kids, "I'm not going to put any pressure on her," Hillary told PEOPLE in 2007. "But my friends are starting to have grandchildren and it's a great experience, so I look forward to it someday."

Al Gore Cleared Over Sexual Abuse Claims

Former Vice President Al Gore has been cleared over allegations of sexual abuse stemming from a 2006 incident due to a "lack of credible evidence."

Officers in Portland, Oregon announced in June they were reopening an investigation into claims Gore inappropriately touched masseuse Molly Hagerty during a massage session at a hotel in October 2006.

Hagerty reportedly gave a police statement in 2009, but authorities were said to have dropped the investigation at the time due to "insufficient evidence to support the allegations".

A rep for Gore vehemently denied the claims, insisting a new investigation "will only benefit Mr. Gore".

The politician-turned-environmentalist was quizzed by detectives in San Francisco, California last week but prosecutors in Portland closed the case on Friday.

A representative for the Multnomah County District Attorney's office stated a "sustainable criminal case does not exist" after investigating Hagerty's claims.

As part of the reopened investigation, detectives interviewed witnesses present at the hotel during the 2006 encounter and put Hagerty through a polygraph test - but she failed the challenge and further forensic testing didn't support her accusations.

Gore's spokeswoman, Kalee Kreider, reveals the 62 year old is "pleased" with the outcome.

Kreider tells People.com, "Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved."

Heidi Montag Files For Divorce

"The Hills" star Heidi Montag has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Spencer Pratt.

Montag walked out on her former reality TV co-star in May and filed for legal separation in June.

She has now moved to make the marriage split official after lodging a divorce petition in Santa Monica, California Superior Court on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences.

Montag's lawyer, Jodeane Farrell, confirms to People.com: "Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt. The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out-of-court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce."

Montag and Pratt wed in Mexico in 2008 and exchanged vows for a second time on TV in 2009 amid claims their initial nuptials were not legal and were part of an elaborate publicity stunt.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler Breaks Up With NY Jets Star

Former Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has split from footballer Mark Sanchez after three months of dating.

The actress was first romantically linked to Sanchez in April after meeting the New York Jets quarterback at a party in the Big Apple.

The sports hunk attempted to play down the rumors in May, insisting he was just friends with Sigler, but the couple failed to put a stop to the rumours and walked the red carpet together at the 2010 Tony Awards.

But Life & Style magazine claims the Sigler and Sanchez have now called time on their relationship and have gone their separate ways.

A source tells the publication, "They split because they were both just heading in very different directions. He's 23 and wants to have fun and win football games. She's 29 and wants to date a nice, honest guy. I think he was a little young for her."

Sanchez has reportedly since moved on from the actress - he was allegedly seen kissing a mystery brunette during Manhattan's Cinema Society Event on Wednesday night.

Vanessa Hudgens Already Using Anti-Wrinkle Cream At 21

Young actress Vanessa Hudgens is so worried about losing her looks she's already started using anti-wrinkle cream at the age of 21.

The High School Musical star insists it is harder for females to age gracefully in Hollywood, and she's determined to stay looking youthful by slapping on special lotions.

She tells Scotland's Daily Record, "I'm already starting to use anti-ageing. You might as well start sooner than later because products are really amazing these days. You might as well start now, put a little lotion on rather than having to get wrinkles. I think it's smart to start soon, really. It's a good beauty tip.

"I think women get the pressure more because when men age, it's sexy. They get to have their grey hair. When women age, it's perceived in Hollywood that they need a lift and they need a tuck, and yadda yadda. So I think the pressure is on women but, at the same time, it depends on who you are."

'Inception' earns dreamy reception with $60.4M

Leonardo DiCaprio and Christopher Nolan's "Inception" is anything but a sleeper as the thriller opened big with $60.4 million and a No. 1 finish at the weekend box office, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The Warner Bros. action tale about a team that sneaks into people's dreams is DiCaprio's biggest opening weekend, topping his previous best of $41.1 million for last winter's "Shutter Island."

"Inception" falls far short of director Christopher Nolan's best, though. Nolan is the man who directed the Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight," which opened over the same weekend two years ago with a record $158.4 million.

Warner Bros. has carved out a niche with this particular mid-July weekend. The studio followed "The Dark Knight" with a $77.8 million opening for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" over the same weekend last year.

"We like this spot. Not to sound superstitious, but stay away from this weekend. I own it," said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner Bros.

The final "Harry Potter" movie debuts on the same weekend next summer. Warner plans to open Nolan's third "Batman" movie over that weekend two years from now, though Fellman said the studio could move it to an earlier date that summer.

Strong reviews helped "Inception," which stars DiCaprio as leader of a team that normally breaks into people's dreams to steal their secrets but now has been hired to do the opposite — plant an idea in a wealthy heir's subconscious.

Slipping to second place with $32.7 million was the previous weekend's No. 1 movie, Steve Carell's animated hit "Despicable Me." The Universal release raised its 10-day total to $118.4 million.

Disney's family adventure "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" was a dud, opening at No. 3 with $17.4 million, lifting its total to $24.5 million since premiering Wednesday.

"It's disappointing to say the least," said Chuck Viane, head of distribution for Disney, which had high hopes for the movie. "I'm perplexed. I have no response, because I honestly don't know what went wrong."

The movie reunites the team behind the hit "National Treasure" movies — Nicolas Cage, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub — for an action comedy about an ancient wizard training an awkward apprentice (Jay Baruchel) to take down an evil sorceress in modern Manhattan.

Bruckheimer has been a blockbuster producer for Disney with such hits as "The Rock," "Armageddon" and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

But "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" was the summer's second Disney-Bruckheimer production to come up short at the domestic box office, following "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," which was unable to crack the $100 million mark.

"Jerry's working on 'Pirates 4' as we speak," Viane said of the Johnny Depp sequel due out next summer. "I'll go to bat with Jerry any day, because his track record is pretty darn good."

With "Inception" and "Despicable Me," the weekend marked a rare instance when two original stories — not sequels, spinoffs or adaptations of comic books, best-sellers or other properties — led the box office.

Hollywood relies on familiar titles such as "Iron Man 2," "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "Toy Story 3" for most of its big summer releases, though the occasional fresh idea manages to score with audiences.

"We let all of the sequels and popcorn films come out and get the summer rolling, then we come in here with this original concept," Fellman said of "Inception." "We're in a good place to run now for the rest of the summer."

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Hollywood.com. Final figures will be released Monday.

1. "Inception," $60.4 million.

2. "Despicable Me," $32.7 million.

3. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," $17.4 million.

4. "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," $13.5 million.

5. "Toy Story 3," $11.7 million.

6. "Grown Ups," $10 million.

7. "The Last Airbender," $7.5 million.

8. "Predators," $6.8 million.

9. "Knight and Day," $3.7 million.

10. "The Karate Kid," $2.2 million.

Report: Paris Hilton caught with marijuana

Paris Hilton was briefly detained in Corsica after sniffer dogs detected a "quite small" quantity of marijuana in her bag, a French newspaper reported Saturday.

Corse Matin newspaper said officers at the airport in Figari found about one gram's worth of marijuana. Hilton, who was transiting the French Mediterranean island in a private jet on Friday, was hauled in for questioning and released about 30 minutes later, the report said.

In a story posted on its Web site, the newspaper said Hilton was traveling along with "personalities close to power in Malaysia" from the French capital to Porto Cervo, in Sardinia.

In a posting on the TwitLonger site Saturday, Hilton wrote, "Just to put an end to these rumors. The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false!"

"I am having the best vacation of my life," the posting said.

Earlier this month, Hilton was arrested after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.

Hilton pleaded no contest in 2007 to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. After spending about 23 days in jail, Hilton told U.S. television host Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."

Record Label Denies Christina Aguilera Rift Over Poor Sales

A rep for Christina Aguilera's record label has denied bosses have fallen out with the singer over the relatively poor sales of her latest album Bionic.

The Dirrty superstar released her fourth disc in June - her first in four years - and has only manged to shift 200,000 copies of the album in the five weeks it has been on sale in the U.S.

The record also made chart history in the U.K. for being the lowest-selling album to make it to the number one spot in eight years, as well as suffering the quickest decline of a chart topping disc.

Reports claimed the poor sales stemmed from Aguilera refusing to listen to her label's suggestions that she needed to update her pop sound to compete in a modern market - but a rep from RCA Records insists the singer is still one of the company's top talents.

The spokesperson tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "(Aguilera) is a pillar of the RCA Music Group and is an undeniable talent with one of the greatest voices of our time. She continues to push herself as an artist, and we are behind her efforts 100 per cent."

Her manager, Irving Azoff, adds, "I am the one who deals with the label, and (reports of a bust-up) couldn't be further from the truth."

The-Dream: Christina Milian and I 'Failed' at Marriage

The-Dream admits his marriage to Christina Milian isn't just on the rocks, it's over – and they "failed."

"Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!" the rapper-producer, 32, writes on his Web site.

"If there's anyone to blame," he writes, "please blame me and me alone for not being upfront!"

After photos surfaced of him with his female assistant on a Caribbean vacation, Milian, 28, mom to their 5-month-old daughter Violet, Tweeted: "Whatever you think, believe it."

Though he says he would "love to tell the truth as to why" the couple's 10-month marriage wasn't successful, "that is between me and Christina. It's easy to say that it's because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT'S NOT," he writes.

Recalling the troubles in the relationship, The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) says he cried for months, prayed and even "tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming."

Still, as he was reminded by his mother, "I am not Superman and its okay to lose sometimes," he says, before signing off with, "Everything will be fine!"

Pink: 'I Will Be On That Stage, Even If I Have To Crawl'

Brave pop punk Pink is refusing to let her horrifying onstage accident stop her from performing - she has vowed to return to the spotlight just hours after the incident.

The So What hit-maker was performing in Nuremberg, Germany on Thursday night when a harness which pulls her into the air for her stage stunts malfunctioned and dragged the pop star into a metal barrier.

Pink was forced to cut short the concert and was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital, but she has since reassured fans she hasn't broken anything and is "just seriously sore." And despite severe bruising, she is determined to play her scheduled concert on Friday night in Salem, Germany.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, Pink writes: "Okay. Full steam ahead, people. No pain, no gain. Or is it no brain, no pain? Either way, I will be on that stage, even if I have to crawl :)"

Amy Adams To Play Janis Joplin

Hollywood sweetheart Amy Adams is set to shock cinemagoers with a rocking new film role - she's signed on to star as tragic 1960s blues legend Janis Joplin in a long-awaited biopic.

The star will transform into the "Get It While You Can" hitmaker under the direction of "City of God's" Fernando Meirelles.

In an interview with Fearnet.com, "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey confirms he is at work on several new films, and "one's a Fernando Meirelles Janis Joplin movie with Amy Adams playing Janis Joplin."

Meirelles was previously confirmed to helm the biopic about Joplin's dramatic rise and fall from the spotlight; however, an actress had not yet been attached to star.

Joplin died from a drug overdose in 1970, aged 27.

Zooey Deschanel is also linked to the film - as Joplin.

Lars Ulrich: 'We Were Stupid To Make 'Some Kind Of Monster''

Metallica regret airing their problems in 2004 movie Some Kind Of Monster, insisting they were "stupid" to go public with therapy sessions and band disputes.

Drummer Lars Ulrich admits the documentary has become the bane of his life - because all his rock star friends have seen it and now they know more about him and his bandmates than he'd like them to.

He says, "Every time I see Noel Gallagher he quotes lines from that movie back to me. That thing has taken on a life of its own. I had to live that s**t for three fucking years. The whole thing was a mindf**k. I am aware a lot of other musicians seem to have lived a lot of those moments. They weren't necessarily stupid enough to film them like we were and share them with the rest of the world."

However, he insists life as a member of Metallica is nothing like it was when Some Kind of Monster was filmed: "There is a good vibe in the band now, everyone's having fun and getting along. Things are real easy and borderline pleasant."

Lindsay Lohan hires celebrity lawyer Shapiro

Celebrity lawyer Robert Shapiro said Friday he had agreed to represent Lindsay Lohan, who is headed to jail next week for violating probation in a 2007 drug case.

Shapiro, a key figure on O.J. Simpson's legal "dream team" in 1995, told The Associated Press he agreed to represent Lohan only if she does her jail time and complies with the terms of her probation.

He also said he would help the actress get treatment to accomplish long-term recovery and sobriety.

"Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with," said Shapiro, whose son Brent died of a drug overdose in 2005. "Hopefully I can be of assistance."

Lohan is scheduled to begin serving a 90-day sentence on Tuesday.

Shapiro has represented numerous celebrity clients and has been working for substance abuse treatment since the death of his son. He established the Pickford Lofts sober living facility, a treatment center where Lohan is temporarily staying.

In representing Lohan, Shapiro is replacing attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, another veteran of the Simpson trial in which the former football star was acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Holly resigned after saying Lohan's sentence was harsh and unfair.

The 24-year-old actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail earlier this month after a judge determined she violated her probation by missing seven weekly alcohol education classes since December.

The judge also ordered Lohan to spend three months in rehab after serving her sentence and continue to undergo random drug testing until her probation expires.

Lohan pleaded guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine; no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent; and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to three years probation.

The plea came after a pair of high-profile arrests earlier that year.

Lohan has spent 84 minutes in jail and performed mandatory service at the county morgue.

Still, she has struggled with the terms of her sentence. In October, a judge extended her probation for another year and a prosecutor warned the actress she was facing jail time if she violated her probation.

Lohan has been required to wear an ankle alcohol monitor since late May, when she missed a court hearing. She claimed her passport was stolen while she attended the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The lapse prompted a series of crackdowns by the judge, including doubling Lohan's bail to $200,000 when the monitor registered a .03 blood alcohol level after the star attended the MTV Movie Awards and afterparties.

Lohan denied she had been drinking that night.

Barbara Walters biopic to air on HBO?‎

Recovering U.S. newswoman Barbara Walters is in talks to bring her life story to the small screen in a documentary about her 50-year career.

Walters, 80, is negotiating with TV executives at HBO to adapt her best-selling memoir, Audition, into a made-for-TV-movie, reports the New York Post.

Her representative Cindi Berger has confirmed there is "a lot of interest" to develop the biopic, but declined to discuss which networks had made serious offers.

Walters, who underwent heart surgery to replace a faulty valve in May (10), returned to her hit ABC network show The View on Monday (12Jul10), appearing via video link to assure fans she is "fully recovered" from the procedure.

She is expected to make a full return to the program in September (10).

Network executives at HBO and ABC declined to comment on the report as WENN went to press.

Stamos' rep slams teenager's romance claim

JOHN STAMOS' legal representative has slammed claims the actor had a fling with a 17-year-old girl who is accused of bribing him, branding the allegations "simply untrue".

Officers from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Michigan residents Scott Sippola and Allison Coss on an extortion charge on 2 December (09) after they allegedly threatened to release snaps of the ER star unless he handed over $680,000 .

On Monday it was claimed in Michigan's U.S. District Court that Stamos romanced Coss when she was a high school student in 2004.

In the opening statement, defense attorney Sarah Henderson detailed how Stamos met Coss when she was on vacation in Florida shortly after he had separated from his wife Rebecca Romijn.

Henderson stated that Stamos and Coss kissed and he allegedly offered to perform a sex act on the teenager, but she refused, reports the Associated Press.

Stamos declined to comment following the claims, but his attorney, William Sobel, said in a statement outside court, "The allegations made today in the courtroom by the defendants' attorneys during opening statements will not be proven because they are simply untrue."

Lawyers for both Coss and Sippola are calling for Stamos' lifestyle to be scrutinised in court because they believe it would influence his "credibility".

Federal prosecutors insist Sippola and Coss do not possess photos of the star, and that his private life should not be discussed during the trial.

The case is due to resume in court on Tuesday.

Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston Say They're Engaged

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston say they're engaged and hope to get married within six weeks in Alaska, an abrupt turnaround for the couple that just months ago was fighting over child support and Johnston's critical comments about the family.

Palin the daughter of 2008 vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is featured on the cover of Us Weekly with Johnston, holding their 18-month-old son, Tripp.

The couple tells the magazine they reconnected while working out a custody plan and became engaged two weeks ago.

Palin, 19, told Us Weekly she found the idea of telling her mother about the engagement "intimidating and scary." But Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, said in a statement on NBC's "Today" show Tuesday that they want what's best for their children and that Bristol believes in "redemption and forgiveness."

Representatives for Palin did not immediately return messages from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Earlier this month, Johnston, 20, acknowledged telling lies about the Palin family after he and Bristol broke up last year. He says he's apologized.

After the young couple broke up in late 2008, shortly after the birth of their son, Johnston gave a series of interviews criticizing the Palin family, maligning Sarah Palin's parenting skills and saying she wanted to adopt his child so people wouldn't know her daughter was pregnant.

He also posed on the February cover of Playgirl magazine sporting nothing but a sultry gaze.

Johnston told People magazine he was "unhappy and a little angry" after breaking up with his former fiance. He said that against his better judgment, he said things about the Palins that "were not completely true."

A representative for Johnston said last month that the two were spending more time together for Tripp's sake but were not a couple.

Us Weekly executive editor Caroline Schaefer told NBC'S "Today" show that Bristol Palin approached the magazine looking for a platform to explain why she got engaged.

The couple is ready to get married but Palin told the magazine they'll probably see a marriage counselor, Schaefer said, adding that Plain made it clear that Levi will have "a lot of work to do."

Asked whether the magazine paid for the interview, Schaefer would not discuss details of the arrangement except to say that the magazine paid for the expenses of the photo shoot.

Piers Morgan likely successor to Larry King at CNN

"America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan appears to be the front-runner to claim the CNN talk show long hosted by Larry King, and he has won permission from NBC, which airs the hit talent contest, to pursue the CNN job.

Appearing Wednesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker noted that Morgan is contractually bound to continue on "America's Got Talent" for three more years.

"Having said that, I can also tell you that he has approached us about asking us to do another job as well," said Zucker, without naming CNN or its talk show soon to be vacated by King.

"I don't think they're mutually exclusive," Zucker said.

However, the CNN job, were Morgan to land it, would occupy "second position" in his work priority, according to an industry official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because that person wasn't authorized to speak publicly about the host changeover.

No negotiations have yet begun between CNN and Morgan, said another industry official who requested anonymity because that person also wasn't authorized to speak publicly.

Along with such candidates as Katie Couric and Ryan Seacrest, Morgan has been considered a favorite to replace King, who on June 29 announced his departure from the prime-time perch he has occupied for a quarter century. King, 76, said he would step down from his weeknight show this fall.

The choice of an heir to the 9 p.m. Eastern slot is a crucial one for CNN as it struggles to boost its sagging prime-time ratings. Also, part of CNN's mission is presumably to restore the luster of what was "Larry King Live" as a go-to place for newsmakers and celebrities. In recent years, many observers had begun to wonder if King was losing his step as well as his audience.

Morgan, now King's likely successor, would bring a sharper-edged sensibility to a show entrenched in King's easygoing, regular-Joe style.

Morgan is a 45-year-old former British tabloid editor who turned to television several years ago. He has since been seen hosting such varied series as "You Can't Fire Me, I'm Famous" for BBC and doing interview shows and documentaries for ITV. He has been a judge on "Britain's Got Talent" and its U.S. spinoff, "America's Got Talent." In 2008, he won the competition as a contestant on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice."

Grammy-winning country singer Carrie Underwood has married NHL player Mike Fisher at a resort in Georgia.

"Yes, Mike and Carrie are married," Underwood's publicist Jessie Schmidt said in an e-mail to The Associated Press early Sunday.

The wedding took place Saturday at the Reynolds Plantation resort in Greensboro, Ga.

Underwood, 27, rose to fame after winning the fourth season of "American Idol." Fisher, 30, is a forward for the Ottawa Senators.

No details on where Underwood and Fisher will spend their honeymoon have been released.

Mel Gibson Being Investigated for Domestic Violence

The drama between Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has now caught the eye of the police.

"An investigation of domestic violence was launched by [Los Angeles Sheriff's] Malibu/Lost Hills station detectives ... involving actor Mel Gibson and his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva," read a statement released Thursday. "The detective in charge of the investigation is currently gathering information regarding the allegations. Due to the investigation being preliminary in nature, no other information is available at this time."

The statement refers to an incident between the couple occurring on Jan. 6, 2010.

Attorneys on both sides weren't immediately available for comment.

According to Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore, police began investigating after being contacted by Grigorieva. "The allegations were brought to our attention from the alleged victim," he says. "We interviewed her on Monday. We were first contacted several days before that. When the investigation is completed, which could take up to a month, we will then turn the case over to the district attorney's office for consideration, which is a routine procedure."

Gibson, 54, and Grigorieva, 40, have been locked in a bitter custody dispute over their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia. The Russian singer alleged in a restraining order filed June 25 that the actor punched her in the face "more than once" on that date in January, causing a broken tooth, knocking out a veneer and causing a concussion.

Sources close to Gibson have denied the allegation, claiming he merely was trying to stop Grigorieva from shaking Lucia "like a ragdoll."

Grigorieva also reportedly caught Gibson on tape spewing racist comments and hurling other expletives, but a rep for Gibson has denied any knowledge of the tapes and could not confirm their authenticity.

Lindsay Lohan's Attorney Resigns

Lindsay Lohan is in the middle of even more legal drama.

Thursday afternoon – just hours after Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley released a statement calling the star's 90-day jail sentence "harsh" – Holley suddenly resigned as Lohan's lawyer.

A rep for Holley confirmed the lawyer is no longer representing Lohan, but would not release any more details.

However, it seems Lohan may have already hired a new attorney in her criminal case, according to police.

"We got a call yesterday from a female identifying herself as Tiffany Feder-Cohen," says L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore. "She introduced herself as Lindsay Lohan's new attorney. I can't get into details about why she called, but the bottom line is that we at the sheriff's department only do what the courts instruct us to do."

Calls to Feder-Cohen's office were not returned.

"Lindsay is determined to not go to jail, get new attorneys and just appeal it," says a source close to the actress. "She seems totally with it, smart and knows what she wants."

But a legal expert says the chances of winning an appeal are slim to none.

"There is absolutely zero chance of Lindsay winning an appeal because there's overwhelming evidence of her repeatedly violating her probation and the court's orders," says criminal defense attorney Trent Copeland, who's not involved with the case. "That is undisputed."

Larry King, wife withdraw divorce filings in LA

Larry King's television reign may be ending, but his eighth marriage will go on. Court records in Los Angeles showed King and his wife each filed Wednesday to end competing divorce petitions and that the cases have been dismissed.

The move comes nearly three months after the host of CNN's "Larry King Live" filed to end his nearly 13-year marriage to his seventh wife, Shawn.

She also sought to end the marriage, but the couple soon reconciled.

King announced his retirement last month. He cited the desire to spend more time with his wife and two young sons as one of the benefits of ending his show after 25 years.

He will step down from the show this year, and CNN executives are searching for a replacement.

He has said he will continue to produce specials for the network.

In a statement released Thursday, King said, "A lot of new things are happening to us, and we are happy to be together as a family with our children."

Shawn King was treated for an apparent overdose of prescription drugs in Utah in May. Larry King's spokesman said at the time that the couple would be staying together.

They were married in 1997, three days before Larry King underwent surgery to clear a clogged blood vessel.

King married one of his former wives twice.

Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo Is a Dad!

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Saturday that he is a proud new papa.

"It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy," the Team Portugal player writes on his Facebook page.

The identity of the baby's mother has not been revealed, and Ronaldo, 25 – who was once linked with Kim Kardashian and counts nearly 6.5 million fans on the social networking site – says that he will he will raise the boy on his own.

Kate Hudson's New Man Plans to Meet the Parents

Kate Hudson and her Muse rocker beau Matt Bellamy are doing "great" – and he's even planning to meet Hudson's mom Goldie Hawn.

"We are meeting up next week. I'm quite nervous," the Muse frontman told the Daily Mirror.

"It's a little bit too soon to talk about weddings and stuff. Ask me again in a few months though," he teased. "I'll let you know how it went with Goldie – and then who knows?"

Bellamy, 32, and Hudson, 31, came out as a couple last month and have been taking in some of the British rock festivals since then.

"Things are going great. I am very happy. We had such a good time at Glastonbury," he told the Mirror. "We just have fun together and are seeing how it goes. We have tried to keep things private so we haven't told anyone how we met or any details like that."

But some clues are emerging. In a feature in the U.K's The Times, it was revealed that he and Hudson first met in Australia "years ago" when they were "both in relationships." (Hudson was with her former husband Chris Robinson while Bellamy was with his then-girlfriend who he split from last September.) "But this time we met and we weren't," Bellamy told the paper's magazine.

Who Is Jessica Simpson's New Boyfriend?

Looks like Jessica Simpson has found quite a catch in former football star Eric Johnson.

"He's one of the nicest guys around," says an NFL insider, who has worked with the ex-San Francisco 49ers player. "I'm surprised he is dating her. She is such a big star and he is so reserved."

Johnson, who also played briefly for the New Orleans Saints, definitely has experience with the limelight, however.

The 6' 3" Needham, Mass., native has excelled at sports since he was a kid. At 13, he hit a hole in one on the golf course, and he broke 11 school records while playing wide receiver for Yale University. He's also a former academic All-American, who was called "The Big Nerd" by his Yale friends, according to a 2004 article in the San Francisco Chronicle.

"He is very smart," says the NFL source, "and he is one of the most down-to-earth athletes I know."

And that could come in handy when dating a Hollywood starlet.

Simpson began dating Johnson in May after friends introduced them. He's currently separated from his wife, Keri, who filed for divorce earlier this year.

"He is the polar opposite of what you think of when you say 'player,' " says the NFL source. "When I met him, he was driving a Prius when other athletes were driving gas-guzzling cars."

Lohan judge says she won't consider alcohol report

A judge at Lindsay Lohan's probation revocation hearing said Tuesday she will not consider whether the actress consumed alcohol last month after attending the MTV Movie Awards.

Prosecutors had hoped to introduce reports from an ankle, alcohol monitor to show the "Mean Girls" actress had violated a court order against drinking imposed as part of a 2007 drug case.

However, Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel said she would honor what she told lawyers for both sides in a closed hearing, and not allow the negative report to be used at the hearing that could end with Lohan being sent to jail for a possible violation.

Revel said the device showed Lohan's blood-alcohol content was 0.03. Lohan and her lawyer have denied she was drinking.

Revel said she will only consider whether the actress failed to complete the required number of alcohol education courses on time.

Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said she hadn't prepared to defend against the alcohol monitor report because of what the judge told her previously.

The judge apparently said information from the monitor would only affect bail for the actress. Revel doubled Lohan's bail to $200,000 after receiving the alert last week.

Lohan arrived about 10 minutes early for the hearing at the Beverly Hills courthouse. Lohan's father Michael also attended.

Revel scheduled the hearing after Lohan missed a court date in May. She has been required to wear an ankle alcohol monitor since then.

The hearing immediately hit a snag as attorneys sparred on what evidence could be introduced.

The judge ordered Lohan's alcohol education program to turn records over to prosecutor Danette Meyers, who said it would take her some time to review.

Meyers previously said she intended to introduce evidence that Lohan's alcohol monitor had been tampered with.

Testimony from other witnesses was given later in the day.

Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail in 2007 after she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving.

The plea came after a pair of high-profile arrests earlier that year. She was sentenced to three years of probation but had to ask for a yearlong extension in October after she failed to complete her alcohol-education courses on time.

Revel revoked Lohan's probation in May after the actress missed the court date to promote a film project at the Cannes Film Festival. Lohan claimed her passport was stolen.

Weeks later, the alcohol monitor issued an alert after Lohan attended the MTV Movie Awards and its after-parties.

Regardless of the outcome, the hearing won't be the last reminder for Lohan of the court case and her arrests. She will soon be questioned about her drug use three years ago by civil attorneys representing a woman suing Lohan.

The actress' attorney persuaded a judge to delay that deposition until after the hearing so her answers couldn't be used against her in the criminal case.

George Michael arrested in London after car crash

British media reports say George Michael has been arrested after a car crash in London.

The BBC says the 47-year-old singer was arrested Sunday after police responded to reports that a car had crashed into a building in Hampstead, an upscale residential area in north London.

Metropolitan Police say only that they arrested a man in his 40s early Sunday in Hampstead on suspicion of being unfit to drive. They say the man was taken to a police station and released on bail pending further inquiries.

The singer's publicists in London declined comment Tuesday.

Last year, Michael was questioned by police after his car hit a tractor-trailer, but was released. He was banned from driving for two years in 2007 after pleading guilty to driving on drugs.

Singer Cheryl Cole in the hospital with malaria

A spokesman for British singer and TV personality Cheryl Cole says she is being treated in a London hospital for malaria.

Publicist Sundraj Sreenivasan said Tuesday the 27-year-old performer will have to cancel all work commitments for the next week. Cole reportedly recently returned from a trip to Tanzania.

Britain's tabloids reported that Cole, a judge along with Simon Cowell on the British reality talent show "The X Factor," collapsed during a photoshoot for her album on Saturday.

The Sun newspaper said Tuesday that she had been in the hospital for two days, but her spokesman declined to offer further details.

Kelsey Grammer's Wife Files for Divorce

Kelsey Grammer's third marriage is coming to an end.

The actor's wife, Camille Donatacci, filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court Thursday, citing irreconcilable differences. According to the filing, Donatacci is seeking primary physical custody of their daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5, as well as spousal support.

Grammer, 55, is currently appearing on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles, and was recently nominated for a Tony Award. Donatacci, 41, a former Playboy model, is rumored to be starring on Bravo's upcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

"Kelsey and Camille value privacy," the actor's rep said in a statement. "They understand that private lives sometimes get played out in public but ask on this occasion that their privacy – and the privacy of their children – be respected."

The couple have been married since August 1997. Their two children were both born via a surrogate.

Grammer also has two other children. His first wife, Doreen Alderman, was a dance instructor, and is the mother of his daughter Spencer, 26. The actor was married a second time, in 1992, to Leigh-Anne Cushany, a former exotic dancer. During that marriage, Grammer had his daughter, Greer, 18, with hairdresser Barrie Bucker.

Thursday night, after his performance in the Tony-winning revival of the musical La Cage aux Folles, Grammer met with fans and signed autographs, appreciatively accepting their compliments outside the Longacre Theatre stage door.

TMZ first reported news of the divorce filing.

Dean McDermott is out of the intensive care unit and showing signs he's making a good recovery after his motorcycle accident.

Wife Tori Spelling Tweeted Friday that she was taking their two kids, Stella, 2, and Liam, 3, to visit him at a Los Angeles-area hospital, where he has been treated since Tuesday for a punctured and collapsed lung.

"I said to [Dean], 'Babe do u want anything?' He said 'Oreo McFlurry!' So his spirits are up despite all the pain," Spelling, 37, writes.

McDermott, 43, who earlier this year fractured his shoulder in another accident, crashed while dirt bike riding with two friends.

Lindsay Lohan Punched By Waitress On Her 24th Birthday

Lindsay Lohan's 24th birthday celebrations in Los Angeles ended in agony in the early hours of Friday after the actress was allegedly punched by a waitress.

The Mean Girls star took a group of friends, including Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, to a nightclub in the city on Thursday to mark her birthday the following day.

But the outing allegedly ended in a brawl, with Lohan taking to her Twitter.com early on Friday morning to claim she had been attacked.

She wrote, "A waitress just hit me - punched me for no reason."

A witness confirmed the alleged incident to Us Weekly, and claimed the unnamed woman approached Lohan after she spotted her with Reinhardt.

The source says, "The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt, and Lohan was hanging out with him. She was jealous, and out of nowhere, the waitress punched her in the face! Doug didn't want any part of it and went to the other side of the booth. Lohan ran out."

Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus to Be a Dad!

Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus’s house will get little louder — and he can’t wait.

“I’m looking forward to hearing the pitter-patter of little feet around the house and all of that wonderful stuff,” DeMarcus tells PEOPLE after sharing the news that he and wife Allison — a presenter on CMT and a former Miss Tennessee — are expecting their first child.

“I’m most looking forward to making wonderful memories — the first days of school, summertime with them, taking them to Disney World. I’m ready to be a father!”

The couple tried for a baby for a couple of years before success and DeMarcus says it makes the happy news “a little sweeter. I feel like we have a victory because of it.”

“When we stopped trying to plan it out and stopped worrying about it, it happened very naturally.”

While they don’t yet know the sex of the baby, the couple has already started decorating a nursery. “I just want a healthy baby, so it doesn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl,” says DeMarcus. “But I would like to have a little boy if I had a say in it! I’d teach him how to play bass and piano and sing!”

DeMarcus, who’s heading out on vacation Wednesday to pamper Allison with “all the spa treatments she wants,” shared the good news with bandmates Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney — both of whom are already dads — on the plane Tuesday as they were returning from a show in Minneapolis. The trio toasted the announcement with a bottle of champagne.

“Gary told me to hold on cause you’re in for the ride of your life,” he says. “I’m ready for the challenge.”

Zac Hanson, Wife Expecting Baby No. 2

Zac Hanson and his wife Kate are expecting their second child, and the rocker couldn’t be more thrilled, he tells PEOPLE.

“I am so excited about the new addition to our growing family and for the stories and inspiration this person will bring to the world,” says the drummer, 24 — one-third of the trio Hanson — who just released their latest album, Shout It Out.

“Life is so short,” he adds, “And there is nothing better than getting to share life with our children.”

The new arrival will join older brother John Ira Shepherd, 2, plus a clan of cousins: Zac’s brother Taylor has four kids with his wife Natalie — Ezra, 7½, Penelope, 5, River, 3½, and Viggo, 18 months — and brother Isaac and his wife Nikki have two sons — Everett, 3, and Monroe, 2.

In addition to a built-in playgroup, the new baby is also likely to have an early shot at stardom — two of the younger Hansons, Ezra and Penelope, appeared in the band’s new hit video for their single “Thinking ‘Bout Something.”

Becki Newton Is Pregnant!

Actress Becki Newton is pregnant with her first child. The former Ugly Betty star has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her husband Chris Diamantopoulos, whom she wed in May 2005.

However, the happy news has caused a headache for executives at NBC - they are having to push back the premiere of her new TV series Love Bites.

Writers are also having to take steps to adjust Newton's character in the show, according to USA Today.

A spokesperson for NBC network explains, "She plays a virgin (in the pilot episode), so we have to make adjustments to that."

Police: Paris Hilton detained in South Africa

Paris Hilton was detained in the South African city of Port Elizabeth on Friday for possession of marijuana, two South African police officers said.

The officers spoke on condition of anonymity Friday, since they were not authorized to release Hilton's name before she appears in court.

A spokeswoman for police at Port Elizabeth, Brig. Marinda Mills, declined to confirm the name, but said a high profile person was appearing in court on drug-related charges.

"This person is appearing in court right now. We cannot reveal information about her until she has appeared in court. I am here with the individual in court, we're waiting for the court to start," Mills told the Associated Press.

A local radio station in Johannesburg said Hilton was detained outside the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium, following the quarterfinal match between Brazil and Netherlands.

A police officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity said Hilton was caught with an unspecified amount of marijuana.

"She was found in possession of some amount of dagga," the officer said, using the local name for marijuana. "We don't know how much. It's a high profile person, only the top cops are dealing with it," he said.

Al Gore's Rep Slams Sexual Assault Claims

A representative for former vice president Al Gore has issued a statement to "unequivocally and emphatically" deny allegations the politician groped a masseuse in 2006 after police reopened their investigation into the matter.

Last week, the National Enquirer revealed masseuse Molly Hagerty gave a statement to police last year accusing Gore of "unwanted sexual contact" during a massage session at a hotel in October, 2006.

Cops didn't investigate the matter further at the time due to "insufficient evidence to support the allegations" as the accuser refused to be interviewed by police. Officers in Portland, Oregon announced on Wednesday they are reopening the investigation.

The politician-turned-activist's spokesperson, Kalee Kreider, is strongly denying the accusations, saying in a statement, "Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore. The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."

The reopening of the case comes just weeks after Gore announced he had split from his wife Mary 'Tipper' Gore after 40 years of marriage.

Jeremy London seeks injunction against family

Jeremy London asked a court Wednesday to issue an injunction preventing his mother and brother from giving interviews that the actor claims are hurting his reputation and career.

The lawsuit claimed the interviews may hamper a police investigation in London's alleged kidnapping in the desert city of Palm Springs, Calif., earlier this month. It named the former "Party of Five" actor's mother, Deborah Nielsen; his twin brother, Jason; and his brother's fiancee, Sofia Karstens.

The complaint said the trio have ignored requests to stop giving interviews about Jeremy London after he was reportedly abducted June 10.

He told police he was kidnapped while changing a flat tire and forced at gunpoint to drive around, buy alcohol and take drugs. Brandon Adams, 26, has pleaded not guilty to five counts, including kidnapping and theft, in connection with the alleged abduction.

London's brother and mother conducted an interview with E! Entertainment Television days later and said they were concerned. They added that he had recently been sober and that they were concerned he might relapse because of the incident.

"We are very concerned for him," Jason London said. "This is his family's cry for help."

He also cast doubt on his brother's account in an interview with People magazine, saying it "didn't add up."

A hearing on a temporary restraining order is scheduled for Thursday morning in Los Angeles.

A representative for Jason London did not immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday. Karstens' manager, Heidi Markel, said the actress has "always been a solid rock for the London family" but declined to comment further.

Attempts to reach Nielsen were unsuccessful.

The actor's lawsuit also stated that two other people are being investigated.

"The detective in charge of the investigation is concerned that the media frenzy caused by the actions of the defendants will compromise his investigation into the criminal matter," the lawsuit said.

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Shatters Records

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" has shattered midnight screening records in America, grossing an estimated $30 million from early morning shows on Wednesday.

It has also become the first film to pass $1 million from midnight IMAX screenings.

The third film in the "Twilight" series explores a love triangle between Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) as the werewolf pack and the Cullen clan join together to fight a new breed of vampires.
