Tori Spelling getting a talk show?

Tori Spelling has tackled a prime time drama, a sitcom, a reality show, and now she's making a move for her own daytime talk show. The LA Times reports that ABC is in the early stages of developing a show featuring Tori and a male co-host.

The co-host has yet to be cast, but the network is looking for someone to be Tori's new BFF. Apparently ABC wants Tori and her co-host to have a "Will and Grace" vibe, but we hope they're more like Karen and Jack.

The development begs the question of where the show will fit into ABC's current lineup. ABC now has four hours of daytime programming: "The View," "One Life to Live," "All My Children," and "General Hospital." With a new show moving into the lineup, one of the soaps may have to go.

In other daytime news, CBS is working on a daytime vehicle for Julie Chen. According to Page Six, the show will feature several hosts including Chen and possibly "Roseanne" star Sara Gilbert. The source says "It's a daytime panel show to take on 'The View,' targeted at women with children and hosted by celebrities, journalists and regular moms. A pilot will be shot in early May."
